Final Day of Campbell/Cartier Classic Cancelled

POWAY, Calif. - The final day of competition at the 2004 Campbell/Cartier Classic at the Sportsplex USA has been cancelled due to unplayable fields following a night of rain. Sunday's cancellations follow a Saturday in which two of the three games slated for a 5:30 p.m. start were cancelled and both 8 p.m. games were called off.

The Aztecs finished the tournament with a 2-2 record, while Cal State Northridge won the 2004 Campbell/Cartier Classic with a 4-0 record. Other undefeated teams included Long Beach State (3-0) and Oregon (3-0).

San Diego State next plays at the University of San Diego at 5 p.m. on Feb. 25. The game will the lone one of the season between the Toreros and Aztecs, the city of San Diego's NCAA Division I softball programs.
