WAHIAWA, HAWAII - San Diego State shot two-under 286 in the final round of the John Burns Intercollegiate to finish in 11th place. The Aztecs ended with an eight-under par total of 856 in Hawaii. It was the first tournament of the spring for SDSU, who entered the season ranked No. 42 in the latest Golfweek rankings.
The University of Arizona won its second tournament of the spring, by shooting 31-under 833, over a field that consisted of 11 teams in the top-50 of Golfweek's lastest rankings.
Senior Mark Warman led the Aztecs with finishing in 16th after shooting a final round 70 to finish at five-under 211. Warman shot 72-69-70 to earn his fourth top-20 finish of the year, and his 21st of his career.
Junior Linus Nilsson finished in 37th after shooting 214. Freshman Aaron Goldberg led the Aztecs in the final round with a three-under 69 and finished in a tie with teammate Aaron Choi for 48th with a total of 216.
SDSU next competition is at the University of Texas-El Paso Invitational on March 1-2.
