Aztec Women's Hoops Begins Second Half Of League Play Saturday Against UNLV

-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team rounds out its longest conference homestand of the season as the Aztecs, 7-13 overall and 2-5 in the MWC, play host to UNLV Saturday. The game with the Lady Rebels marks the start of the second half of league play, while it will be the final home game of the year in Cox Arena, as the Aztecs' final two games in San Diego will be played across the street at Peterson Gym. UNLV currently stands in a tie for second place in the Mountain West Conference standings along with New Mexico, boasting a 16-4 overall record and a 5-2 mark in league play. The Lady Rebels have dropped two of their last three contests, but have won eight straight over the Aztecs.

-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his second season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 16-31.

-UNLV Head Coach Regina Miller: Miller is in her sixth season with the Lady Rebels and boasts a record of 109-57. Her 12-year career record stands at 169-157.
