-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team, 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the MWC, returns to San Diego to play host to three straight games, its longest conference homestand of the season. The Aztecs are coming off a 1-1 road trip, falling to New Mexico (76-42), before redeeming themselves with their eighth straight victory over Air Force (51-46) on Saturday afternoon.

The only unbeaten team in MWC play, Utah is SDSU's first opponent this week as the Utes and Aztecs face each other Thursday at 7 p.m. The Utes, who are receiving votes in both national polls, boast a 15-4 overall record and a 5-0 conference mark. Utah has won nine of its last 10 games.

-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his second season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 16-29.

-Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott: Elliott is in her 21st season at Utah and owns a school and career record of 428-175.

-Utah Series History: Utah leads the series, 17-10 (Last: Utah def. SDSU, 66-22, in Salt Lake City, Feb. 20, 2003).
