San Diego - For the fifth straight season, San Diego State will broadcast its baseball contests live on the Internet and once again Alan Horton will call the action as the voice of Aztec baseball.
Horton is currently on-air at the Mighty 1090 AM, providing sports updates every weekday afternoon. He also serves as the television play-by-play voice for Adelphia Communications, calling high school football, basketball, volleyball and water polo.
This season, 56 of the Aztecs' 62 regular-season games can be heard live. To listen, go to www.goaztecs.com and click on the Audio/Visual icon at the top of the page, then click on the game you want to hear. To hear the games, you will need Real Audio Player, which may be downloaded free of charge by clicking the Real One icon on the right side of SDSU's Audio/Video page.
Fans will also need to subscribe to College Sports Pass, which provides access to the broadcasts of all SDSU events as well as those of numerous colleges around the nation. Information on the College Sports Pass is on the SDSU Audio/Video page as well.
In addition to Internet broadcasts, all of San Diego State's home games plus some away contests can be followed live on Gametracker. The product takes official statistical feeds from the press box and provides an up-to-the-minute graphical interface for users that displays play-by-play and constantly updated individual and team statistics for the game. Gametracker can be accessed from the schedule on the right side of SDSU's home page (goaztecs.com).
Due the lack of availability of phone lines at the facilities in Hilo this weekend, there will be no Internet broadcast or Gametracker of SDSU's season-opening series against Hawai'i-Hilo. Fans can get results of those contests after each game by checking the San Diego State web site.
