Women's Basketball Looks To Continue Its Winning Ways At Lady Blazer Invitational

-The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team looks to round out 2003 on a three-game winning streak by sweeping both games at the Lady Blazer Invitational, hosted by the University of Alabama-Birmingham. The Aztecs are coming off a 63-56 victory at Pac-10 Conference school Washington State on Dec. 22, before taking three days off for the holiday break.

SDSU's first opponent, Tennessee-Martin, enters Monday's game with a 2-5 record with its last game, an overtime win against Arkansas-Little Rock, coming over 10 days ago on Dec. 18. UAB, meanwhile, is on a two-game win streak and stands at 4-6 overall, while Brown is 2-5 in 2003-04.

-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his second season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 13-23.

-Lady Blazer Invitational Opposing Coaches: UT-Martin's head coaching tandem of Gary and Kim Van Atta are 96-111 in eight seasons with the Skyhawks. UAB's Jeannie Milling is 260-217 in 17 years and Brown's Jean Marie Burr has a 16-year record of 211-193.

-Series History: This will be the first all-time meeting between SDSU and all three schools.
