SDSU Women's Basketball Looks To Break Losing Spell Against Oral Roberts

-Webcast/Live Stats/TV: The game will be televised live by Channel 4 San Diego, with Bill Earley (play-by-play) and Tammy Blackburn (analysis) making the call from Cox Arena. -The Records: The San Diego State women's basketball team will look to end its three-game losing streak with a victory over Oral Roberts in its final home game of 2003. SDSU is coming off losses to San Diego (65-60) and Southern Methodist (64-55) last week and faces Oral Roberts for the first time since 1988.

The Golden Eagles are 3-4 heading into a Tuesday night game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff before traveling to San Diego. Only one of Oral Roberts' wins this season have come against an NCAA Division I opponent in Texas Pan-American (67-57), while the other two have been over NAIA schools Bacone (119-29) and Newman University (98-49).

-In The RPI: In the fourth RPI released by the WBCA on Dec. 15, SDSU is ranked 314th, while Oral Roberts is 157th of the 324 NCAA Division I teams. The Aztecs are 276th in the Jeff Sagarin/College Basketball News rankings.

-SDSU Head Coach Jim Tomey: Tomey (Michigan '81) is in his second season at San Diego State after taking over the Aztec helm on April 9, 2002. His career and Aztec head coaching record is 12-22.

-ORU Head Coach Jerry Finkbeiner: Finkbeiner is in his eighth season as head coach at ORU. His ORU record is 103-104 and his 15-year career record is 302-138.
