FORT COLLINS, Colo. - San Diego State dropped its second straight conference road match of the weekend, falling to 25th-ranked Colorado State, 3-0 (19-30, 27-30, 21-30), Saturday night in Fort Collins. The Aztecs were shut out for after falling at Wyoming the previous evening, and saw their record fall to 9-8 overall and 1-2 in Mountain West Conference play. The Rams (13-4) maintained their perfect MWC start, improving to 4-0 in league play.
Aspen McPartland had 13 kills to lead SDSU, which hit .142 for the match. Kara Moriarty contributed 11 kills while both McPartland and Megan Schauermann had three blocks apiece.
CSU's Tess Rogers led all players with 16 kills while teammate Becky Sarauer had 14. As a team, the Rams recorded 56 kills to 33 by SDSU and had 50 digs to 28 by the visitors.
The Aztecs will now return home after four straight road matches to take on Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday (Oct. 7) at 6:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym.
