SDSU And USD Play 100 Innings

Oct. 30, 2003

The San Diego State and the University of San Diego softball teams teamed up to play 100 innings and raise at least $11,900 for the two schools in the fundraiser.

Each batter received one pitch and one pitch only from a pitching machine and teams played 12 outs at a time (i.e. tops of the first, second, third and fourth innings and then the bottom of those four innings). No score was kept for the game.

San Diego State has raised $5,400 and is still receiving donations as of Thursday morning, while USD has received $6,500 in donations with more still coming in.
