CEDAR CITY, Utah - The San Diego State Aztecs defeated the Weber State Wildcats in a women's soccer game Saturday afternoon, 1-0. SDSU improves to 3-4-0 with the victory while the Wildcats fall to 1-4-2 with the loss. The game was played at Southern Utah University.

Freshman midfielder Jen Klunder scored her first goal as an Aztec at the 24:35 mark with a header off forward Lisette Martinez's corner kick.

After being out-shot by San Diego State, 6-1, in the first half, WSU turned on the firepower with a 7-3 shot advantage in the second half. Veronica Wilder almost tied the game with one minute to go, hitting the post with a shot from 20 yards out.

San Diego State has not allowed a goal in 202:37, its longest shutout stretch of the season.

Klunder and defender Erica Lopez each recorded two shots while five other players had one each.
