SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's soccer team will host its Alumni and Family Weekend from Friday-Sunday, April 25-27. The weekend includes the Aztec Soccer Golf Classic, three spring matches on Saturday and a final day highlighted by the Alumni Game and End of Season Banquet.
The events tee off on Friday, April 25 with the second annual Aztec Soccer Golf Classic at Mount Woodson Golf Club. The tournament entry form can be found on the men's soccer page of the official web site of San Diego State athletics, www.goaztecs.com. All proceeds from the tournament benefit the San Diego State men's soccer program.
On Saturday, April 26, the SDSU Sports Deck will be the site of three spring matches between local rivals. The Aztecs host Point Loma Nazarene at 10 a.m. before facing UC Riverside at noon. Point Loma and UC Riverside then square off at 2 p.m. in the final match of the day.
The final events of the weekend take place on Sunday, April 27. The current Aztec squad plays its final contest of the spring season when it faces its predecessors and SDSU heroes of the past in the Alumni Game at 10 a.m. The weekend then concludes with a season-ending banquet at approximately 2:30 p.m.
