SAN DIEGO - The home debut of new San Diego State head baseball coach Tony Gwynn has been delayed once again by weather.
The Aztecs have been trying to get in a two-game, home-opening homestand with No. 22 South Alabama since Tuesday afternoon. Rain washed out play on Tuesday and delayed and eventually canceled Wednesday's re-scheduled doubleheader as well.
The two teams will try once more on Thursday afternoon with a single game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at Tony Gywnn Stadium.
The Aztecs are scheduled to host Santa Clara in a weekend series at San Diego State.
