Aztecs Finalize 2003 Schedule

Nov. 30, 2002

San Diego - San Diego State has completed its 2003 baseball schedule with the addition of a home game against Oral Roberts on Thursday, March 6, at 6:00 p.m. at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The contest vs. ORU brings the Aztecs' home slate to a total of 25 games.

In addition, the home opener vs. South Alabama on Feb. 11 has been moved to 3:00 p.m. to avoid a conflict with the SDSU men's basketball contest vs. UNLV scheduled for that evening at 7:00 p.m.

San Diego State's schedule for the Clash of the Conferences tournament (hosted by CSU Northridge in Lancaster, Calif.) has also been finalized. The Aztecs will open against Oregon State on Feb. 28 followed by games against the host Matadors the following day (Mar. 1). They conclude tourney play against Washington on Sunday, Mar. 2).

The only times not yet ascertained are for the three-game series at Utah beginning April 18. The Utes must wait until the minor league Salt Lake City Stingers release their final 2003 schedule as they play in the same ballpark (Franklin Covey Field).
