Kickoff Times Set For Aztec Home Opener, Homecoming

SAN DIEGO - San Diego State will make its 2002 home football debut on Sept. 14th against the Arizona State Sun Devils with kickoff time set for 7:05 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium.

San Diego State has also set a 4 p.m. kickoff time for the Oct. 26th Homecoming contest against UNLV.

Television could still affect the start times of home games against UCLA, Utah and Colorado State and those kickoffs are still listed as TBA. The Utah contest on Oct. 12th will serve as the 2002 Hall of Fame game with a new class of San Diego State legends inducted.

San Diego State will begin its first fall camp under head coach Tom Craft on Aug. 2nd when newcomers report to Montezuma Mesa. Veterans report on Aug. 6th and the first full-squad workout is scheduled for Aug. 8th.

Family Day is scheduled for Aug. 17th at Tony Gwynn Stadium and the annual Kickoff Luncheon will be held Aug. 20th at the Town and Country Resort in Hotel Circle.

The Tom Craft Era will officially open on Thursday, Aug. 29th, when San Diego State visits Fresno State for an ESPN2 battle. That kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
