SDSU Rowers Medal At PCRA Championships

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - The San Diego State rowing team recorded a pair of top-three finishes on Saturday at the Pacific Coast Rowing Association Championships held on Lake Natoma.

The Aztecs' novice four boat raced to a first-place time of 8:37.5 after placing first (7:57.0) in its qualifying heat earlier in the day. UCLA placed second (8:45.0) behind SDSU in the finals, followed by UC Davis (8:50.6).

SDSU's second novice eight boat posted a third-place finish in its final, being outdistanced by California (7:44.8) and UC Davis (8:01.2).

The Aztec rowing program now prepares for Sunday's Pac-10 Championships, which will also be held on Lake Natoma.
