April 9, 2002
On Thursday, San Diego State junior left-handed pitcher Royce Ring drops by ESPN.com's moderated chat room presented by TheMWC.com to take questions on the 2002 season and more.
Ring, one of the premier relief pitchers in the nation, has 10 saves in as many opportunities. The San Diego native has 29 strikeouts in 19.1 innings, while allowing just one earned run on nine hits and six walks in 18 total appearances.
Opponents are hitting just .136 (9-for-66) against him this season and his ERA stands at 0.47.
Last summer, Ring played for the USA Baseball national team that compiled a record of 21-7-1. He appeared in nine games, recording one save with a 0.93 ERA. In 10.2 innings he struck out 10 and walked four.
Ring won't be stopping by until 1:00 p.m. PST on Thursday but feel free to leave your questions now and we will save them for his arrival.
