San Diego - San Diego State Aztec shortstop Taber Lee has been named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week for his performance in last weekend's three-game league series at Brigham Young.

Lee, a junior from Olympia, Wash., went 10-for-15 with two doubles, four runs scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Provo.

In game one vs. the Cougars, he was 3-for-6 with a two-out two-RBI double in SDSU's five-run fourth inning, helping the Aztecs to 17-8 victory. Lee also had two walks during the series and posted an on-base percentage of .706 for the weekend. He has extended his current hitting streak to nine games during which he is hitting .611 (22-for-36), and he has recorded three or more hits in each of his last four games.

San Diego State (20-9, 4-1 MWC) returns to action Tuesday evening with a non-league contest against Cal State Northridge at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Game time is 6:00 p.m.
