Game On!
The Aztecs will look to increase their three-game winning streak when they take on Saint Mary's, UC Santa Barbara and start conference action with Utah and Brigham Young.
* The Aztecs took a week off before returning to the field this weekend.

SDSU Tournament Recap
San Diego State returned home in a big way, going 3-1 in the SDSU Tournament.
* Kellie Nordhagen went 8-for-16 with three doubles and five runs scored.
* Janna Kovensky hit in four of last week's six games. She also totaled three runs and one RBI.

Stop, Thief!
Three Aztecs are sneaking their way into the record books for stolen bases.
* Senior Sarah Hershman has moved into third place above Erryn Gutjhar with 42.
* Sophomore Janna Kovensky has added 14 to her freshman total of nine. With an average of one base per game, Kovensky will find her way onto the career list by the end of the season.
* Kellie Nordhagen is two bases away from adding her name to the stolen bases record book. The category is one of only four that her name hasn't broken into the top five.

Leading Off
Senior outfielder Kellie Nordhagen is right at home leading off in the order, she has a .298(34-1114) clip from the top spot. She also went 8-for-16 at the dish last week.

Get That Monkey Off My Back
The Aztecs finally broke free from the Top 25 jinx. State beat its first ranked team this season with a 1-0 win over Oregon State and has since beat No. 20 Texas A&M.
* SDSU has also faced now No.1 UCLA, No. 2 Stanford, No. 8 California, No. 10 Fresno State, No. 12 Washington.

Nordhagen Honored As MWC Player Of The Week
Kellie Nordhagen was named Mountain West Conference Player of the Week. * Nordhagen batted .500 (8-for-16) from the plate, including three multiple-hit games, with three doubles and one RBI while scoring five runs in six games for the Aztecs last week. She started the week going 4-for-8 from the plate, with two doubles and one run scored in a doubleheader against UC Riverside.
* Her best performance of the week came in the first of two games against San Diego at the San Diego State Tri-Tournament, where she smashed a career-high three hits, with an RBI and one run scored in the Aztecs 4-2 win. In game two against the Toreros, Nordhagen went 1-for-3 from the dish, with a double and three runs scored, leading San Diego State to a 7-1 win.

Watch For Streakers
* Sarah Hershman has already had a seven-game hitting streak this season. The senior had two eight-game hitting streaks last season.
* Janna Kovensky had a seven-game hitting streak this sesaon. She also had a seven gamer last season. She is currently on a four-game streak.
* Tiffany Goudy is on a three-game hitting streak at the moment. She has already had a four gamer this season.

One Is The Loneliest Number
Several Aztecs have had multiple-hit and multiple-RBI games this season. * Leading the pack in both categories is senior Tiffany Goudy. She has had six multiple-RBI and 14 multiple hit games.
* Kellie Nordhagen and Sarah Hershman take second in multiplt-hit games with 10 each.
* All-in-all, nine Aztecs have hit more than once in a game and seven have had multiple-RBI games.

Sophomore Standouts
Last year's phenom freshmen have matured into this year's superb sophs. * Janna Kovensky has 29 hits and leads the team with two triples. She has scored 17 runs and stole a team-high 14 bases.
* Joann Figueroa returns at shortstop with a .247 batting average and has four stolen bases.
* Kelcy Murphy is back at third base after hitting three bombs at the Campbell/Cartier Classic. She is second on the team with 15 RBI.
* Jeni Tornquist has a 5-3 record in the circle and is second on the staff with four complete games.

California Girls
Of 17 players on the San Diego State team, only three are not from California. Sophomores Joann Figueroa, Jeni Torquist and freshman Bre DeSanta all hail from Arizona. Of the 14 girls from California, six are from the San Diego area.

DeSanta In De Circle
Bre DeSanta has quickly emerged as the Aztec's ace in the circle.
* The freshman leads the staff with a 1.27 ERA and has struck out a team-high 81 batters.
* She also leads the team with 93.2 innings pitched and has been recognized as Mountain West Pitcher of the Week twice.

Two Words...Tiffany Goudy
Tiffany Goudy is making the most of her senior season.
* The outfielder is the only member of the Aztec team who has yet to commit an error this season.
* She leads the Aztecs at the plate with a .345 batting average and a team-high 39 hits and 19 RBI.

Post-Game Services/Interviews
Head coach Kathy Van Wyk and SDSU players will be available for interviews outside the San Diego State dugout following a 10-minute cooling off period. A member of the Aztec sports information staff will gather interview requests immediately following the game. Box scores will be provided and faxed upon request.
