SDSU Rowers Score Pair Of Third-Place Finishes

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The San Diego State rowing team recorded a pair of third-place finishes in its competition with Virginia on Saturday at Rivanna Reservoir.

The Aztecs raced to a third-place time of 7:24.27 in the varsity eight event. Two Virginia boats took the races top spots, with times of 6:49.54 and 6:52.94.

SDSU also placed third in the novice eight competition, clocking in at 7:34.26 behind the Cavaliers' third varsity eight (7:03.96) and first novice eight (7:07.09).

The SDSU rowing team returns to action next Saturday when it faces off against Southern California in Los Angeles. On April 6-7, the team will compete in the world renouned San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay.
