SDSU Falls to No. 2 UCLA

SAN DIEGO- Seventh-ranked San Diego State Women's water polo fell to the second-ranked UCLA Bruins 12-5 on Friday afternoon at Bud Kerns Pool.

Holly Hartzell got the Aztecs on the board late in the second quarter to end the half 8-1. However, the Aztecs came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring four goals to finish the game.

Amber Prestegard and Dominique Delgado were the leading scorers for San Diego State with two goals each. Delgado recorded two blocks and one steal as well as drawing an ejection, setting up a goal by Prestegard.

Goalkeeper Heather Stiles recorded six saves for the Aztecs who fall to 10-8, 3-3 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

The Aztecs head to UCSD on Sunday for the UC San Diego Mini Tournament in La Jolla. SDSU squares off against Princeton at 10 a.m. before meeting UCSD at 3 p.m.
