FRESNO, Calif. - San Diego State likes to keep things interesting adding another nine-inning win to the list with a 5-2 victory over Tennessee Tech. The Aztecs also sought revenge against the Bears of Baylor with a 2-1 win. The five-game winning streak brings the Aztec record to 16-11-1.
San Diego State 2, Baylor 1
The Bears struck first in the match up with a single run in the top of the second, but San Diego State battled back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth frame and held on for the win.
Sarah Hershman knocked a triple to left center and sent Janna Kovensky home. Kelcy Murphy added to the list with a double to right center that sent Hershman home.
Bre DeSanta was the pitcher of record for the Aztecs with a 5-5 record. Hershman led State at the plate going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
San Diego State 5, Tennessee Tech 2
The Aztecs, fresh off of the 2-1 win over Baylor, looked to keep the streak alive with a win over Tennessee Tech, but the Aztecs were slow to get things going offensively letting the Eagles score first in the game off of an error by Danielle Touhey.
The Aztecs responded to the run when Kellie Nordhagen singled to left field and advanced on the throw sending Jennifer Seckel home for the tie. Both teams kept things quiet until the top of the ninth when the Aztecs attacked again.
With two outs, Summer Ehrsam stepped to the plate and sent a ball to left center that resulted in a double sending Murphy home. Joann Figueroa kept things alive with a base hit when Nordhagen stepped to the plate and ripped a triple to left center and sent both Figueroa and Ehrsam home. Kovensky followed with a single up the middle that gave Nordhagen the run.

The Aztecs will look for revenge against No. 10 Fresno State when they meet the Bulldogs at 3 p.m. tomorrow in the final game of the Hedrick's Hallowell Chevrolet Classic.
