The eighth-ranked San Diego State water polo team will head north to Berkely this weekend to take on fourth-ranked California on Saturday before traveling to Stockton for a match-up with 15th-ranked Pacific on Sunday. Both Mountain Pacific Sports Federation games are scheduled for noon. The Aztecs own a 9-6 record and are on a four-game win streak. The Aztecs are now tied for third with UCLA in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with a 2-1 conference record.

* The two teams have faced each other 18 times with California holding a 13-5 advantage.
* In their last meeting, the Aztecs fell to the Bears, 7-2.
* Conference opponent California is currently ranked fourth in the nation.

Zabel Earns A Shutout
Junior goalkeeper Ashley Zabel had her first career shutout against Redlands on Saturday. Zabel recorded 12 saves in the Aztecs 5-0 win over the Bulldogs. The last time the Aztecs shutout an opponent was February 28, 1998, when they defeated Loyola Marymount, 15-0.
Have We Mentioned Holly Hartzell
Sophomore Holly Hartzell continues to improve her spot in the Aztec record book, making a move on both the career goals and career assists lists. She moves from number nine on the career goals chart up to number six with 120 and needs just two more to move into the number five spot. The sophomore two-meter has scored at least one goal in 12 of the 13 games she has played in so far this season, finding the back of the net 30 times. Hartzell has also sits in the number six spot for career assists with 40, needing just one more to move to number five.
Finnegan's On Fire
Junior utility Casey Finnegan has had no problem finding the back of the net lately and is currently number two on the team in scoring with 16 goals. This past weekend she led the Aztecs in scoring with three goals against both Michigan and UC Irvine, and two against Long Beach State, turning in a 44-percent shooting performance.
Last Week In Review
The Aztecs are in the midst of a four-game winning streak after sweeping their competition last week. SDSU posted an 8-5 win over Michigan, won 7-6 over UC Irvine and took a 7-5 decision from Long Beach State. SDSU also shutout Redlands, 5-0.
