WACO, Texas - San Diego State softball struggled offensively and were shutout for the sixth time this season by the Akron Zips in the second day of the Compass Bank Invitational in Waco, Texas. State will look to rebound in this tonight's game against Stephen F. Austin scheduled at 7 p.m. (EST). The loss drops the Aztecs to an 8-8-1 record.
Senior Tiffany Goudy was the only Aztec that registered hits during the game going 2-for-3. Sophomore Janna Kovensky racked up another stolen base bringing her season total to eight.
Sophomore Jessi Green drops to 3-2 with four hits and two runs in five innings of work.
