SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team couldn't seem to get it done with a 4-3 loss to Hawaii and a 4-2 loss to Missouri in the first day of the Aztec Invitational.

The Aztecs starting line-up was without center fielder Janna Kovensky, first baseman Summer Ehrsam and pitcher Korin Gregory due to illness.

Missouri scored first after Sara Vassmer was waved home on a single by Rachael McGinnis to right center. San Diego State made a quick comeback when senior Tiffany Goudy singled to left center bringing Joann Figueroa and Kellie Nordhagen home.

The Aztecs led 3-2 until the fourth when Missouri scored two and a third in the sixth.

The loss drops State to 3-4 overall. The Aztecs will face both Hawai'I and Missouri in day two of the Aztec Invitational.
