The Records: San Diego State is 13-9 and 2-5 in conference play after a 67-54 loss at Air Force on Monday night. Utah is 16-4 overall and 6-1 in league action after losing for the first time in a month on Monday night. The Utes fell 54-46 to Wyoming at the Huntsman Center.

SDSU Coach Steve Fisher: Fisher (Illinois State '67) is in his third season at San Diego State with a record of 32-46. Now in his 11th full season he has amassed a 216-128 mark. Fisher led Michigan to the 1989 national championship and made three trips to the national championship game in his eight full seasons in Ann Arbor. The 1991-92 national coach of the year led the Aztecs to a 14-14 mark last year.

Utah Coach Rick Majerus: Majerus (Marquette '70) is in his 13th season at Utah and his 18th campaign as a head coach. Majerus is 278-77 while at the Utes' helm and owns a career mark of 377-129. He guided Utah to the 1998 NCAA title game and took the Utes to the Sweet 16 on three other occasions.

The Series: Saturday will mark the 50th meeting between Utah and San Diego State with the Utes owning a 41-8 series advantage. The Utes have won 13 straight in the series, with the Aztecs last series win coming on Jan. 22, 1994 when SDSU won 76-73 at Peterson Gym.
