Aztec Baseball Hosts Annual Alumni Weekend

San Diego - The San Diego State Aztec baseball program will host its annual Alumni Weekend on Friday and Saturday, January 25-26.

The weekend gets underway Friday evening (Jan. 25) with the Alumni baseball game at Tony Gwynn Stadium at 6:00 p.m. Prior to the game, ceremonies will be held honoring four past Aztec greats: Travis Lee, Art Preston, Jim Poole and John Ritchey. Individuals wishing to participate in the game should contact SDSU coach Jay Martel ay (619) 594-3357.

On Saturday, the golf gets underway at Riverwalk in Mission Valley with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Among the confirmed participants are former Aztecs Tony Gwynn, Bud Black and Travis Lee along with San Diego Padres manager Bruce Bochy. Only 12 slots remain for the golf tournament. Cost for the golf event is $150 per person and includes golf, cart, ticket to the luncheon, tee gifts and prizes.

Following the golf, the luncheon will take place at the Town & Country Hotel beginning at approximately 2:00 p.m. Tickets for the luncheon are $25 for those not playing golf.
