Television: ABC-TV Split National. Brad Nessler (play-by-play), Dick Vitale (analyst), Jimmy Moore (director) and Dan Steir (producer). The game will be shown to 80 percent of the country and will air on every ABC affiliate in California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada and Arizona in addition to the top six markets and 15 of the largest 17 markets nationally. The Records: San Diego State is 7-3 after winning for the third straight game, an 86-58 victory over Eastern Washington on Dec. 20 at Cox Arena. Duke improved to 10-0 with its 20th consecutive victory, a 95-92 overtime victory over eighth-ranked Kentucky in the Jimmy V Classic in East Rutherford, N.J. on Dec. 18.

SDSU Coach Steve Fisher: Fisher (Illinois State '67) is in his third season at San Diego State with a record of 26-40. Now in his 11th full season he has amassed a 210-122 mark. Fisher led Michigan to the 1989 national championship and made three trips to the national championship game in his eight full seasons in Ann Arbor. The 1991-92 national coach of the year led the Aztecs to a 14-14 mark last year.

Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski: Krzyzewski (Army '69) is in his 22nd season at Duke having amassed a 543-164 record. Now in his 27th year overall, Krzyzewski owns a 616-223 career mark. He has led Duke to three national titles, winning the title in 1991, 1992 and 2001.

The Series: This will be the first meeting between San Diego State and Duke.
