San Diego State Spikers Lose In Three

TUCSON, Ariz. - The San Diego State women's volleyball team lost to 24th-ranked UC Santa Barbara, 3-0, in the University of Arizona Tournament in Tucson tonight. The Aztecs were swept by scores of 23-30, 23-30, 25-30.

SDSU was led by senior Katie Magnuson, who finished the match with 14 kills and 10 digs for her 12th double-double of the season. Magnuson was the only Aztec to total double-digit kills against the Gauchos. Sophomores Aspen McPartland and Zlatina Anguelova hit nine and eight kills, respectively.

The Aztecs finished the match with 48 kills and a .236 clip, versus the Gauchos 47 kills and .258 clip. A significant difference was seen at the line with the Gauchos notching seven aces to the Aztecs one.

The Aztecs will face off with the Denver Pioneers tomorrow for the final day of the tournament.
