SDSU Volleyball Loses To USD

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the USD Toreros by scores of 27-30, 23-30 and 20-30. With the loss, the Aztecs fall to 13-8 overall and 7-4 in the Mountain West.

The Aztecs were paced by sophomore outside hitter Zlatina Anguelova with nine kills, two aces, five digs and four blocks during the game. Sophomore Aspen McPartland registered seven kills and two aces, followed by senior Katie Magnuson with six kills and five digs.

The Aztecs finished the night with 34 kills, a .247 hitting clip and six total team blocks versus USD's 53 kills, .289 hitting percentage and 7.5 total team blocks.

The Aztecs return to conference action with a match at UNLV, Friday at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas at 7 p.m.
