This Week
The San Diego State swimming and diving team continues its season Saturday, hosting a double dual with Mountain West Conference opponents Air Force and New Mexico. Saturday's meet will be held at Southwestern Junior College in Chula Vista. It is the first of two home meets for the Aztecs, who host Northern Arizona on Dec. 8.

Directions
Take I-805 south, exit on East H Street, the Southwestern JC campus is located at the corner of East H Street and Otay Lakes Road. The address of the school is 900 Otay Lakes Road.

The Format
Saturday's meet will be run in the normal dual-meet schedule. There will be two heats of each event, with the first being scored. Each heat will feature six swimmers, two from each school, and will be scored using a 5-3-1 scale. Saturday's meet will also feature a diving competition.

Getting Results
Results from Saturday's meet will be posted on the official website of SDSU athletics, www.goaztecs .com and will also be faxed to the participating schools.

Last Year vs. Air Force
SDSU lost to Air Force 166.5-131.5 last season in Colorado Springs on Nov. 18. Megan Storey took first-place honors in the 1,000 and 500 freestyle. Erin Kilpatrick touched the wall first in the 100 free and 100 butterfly.

Taking a Dive
After not competing in diving events last season, SDSU features a pair of divers on its 2001-02 squadd. Taking to the springboards for the scarlet and black are juniors Teri Hodgkinson and Ashley Noyer, both of whom transferred from Sierra College in Rocklin. Hodgkinson was a state qualifier last season and Noyer a two-time participant at the state meet.

Practice Times

SDSU Lately
The Aztecs opened their 2001-02 season on Oct. 19-20 at the Pacific Invitational, placing third in the two-day event. Sophomore Jennifer Graham had three top-five finishes on Saturday to lead the team. The Santa Rosa Native finished fourth in the 100 butterfly and 200 breaststroke and fifth in the 100 breast. Aztec senior Heather DeFelice had two top-10 finishes on Friday and turned in her best performance of the meet with a third-place swim in the 200 breast on Saturday. Sophomore Megan Storey was the Aztecs' only individual medalist on Friday, winning the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 17:20.35, 27 seconds faster than her nearest competitor.

Aztec Coaching Staff
SDSU head coach Deena Deardurff Schmidt enters her eighth season at the helm of the Aztec swimming and diving program. Schmidt is assisted by Greg Hutt, also in his eighth season.

Looking Ahead
While the Aztecs won't be hosting an event next weekend they will be close to home, traveling to USD for a dual meet on Nov. 10. That event is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
