MALIBU, Calif. - The San Diego State women's volleyball team were swept for the second time this season by a ranked opponent in a 3-0 road loss to No. 13 Pepperdine. The Aztecs fell by scores of 19-30, 26-30, 23-30.
Errors plagued the Aztecs once again with a total of 27 errors for a season-low .036 hitting percentage. Katie Magnuson had a full night with 10 kills, six digs, three blocks and one ace. Sophomore Zlatina Anguelova was next on the kill list with eight kills and finished with five digs, two blocks and one ace in the match.
Pepperdine, ranked 13th on the USA Today/AVCA poll, finished the night with three players with double-digit kills and one with a double-double. Katie Wilkins and Stacy Rouwenhorst tallied 17 and 11 kills, respectively, while Brie Harris grabbed a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.
