SDSU Volleyball Beats Cowgirls in Four Games

LARAMIE, Wyo. - The San Diego State women's volleyball team beat the Wyoming Cowgirls 3-1 at the Multipurpose Gym in Laramie, Wyoming. The Aztecs won in games of 30-28, 30-22, 29-31, 30-20.

Five Aztecs finished the game with double-digit kills. Senior Katie Magnuson totaled 13 kills and 10 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Junior Nicole Akporiaye registered 10 kills, sophomore Megan Schauermann finished with 13 kills, sophomore Zlatina Anguelova with 15 kills and junior Rochelle Currier with a team-high 19 kills.

The Aztecs finished the match with 74 kills, nine total team blocks and a .290 clip versus the Cowgirls 66 kills, 10 total team blocks and a .238 hitting percentage.

The Aztecs travel to Fort Collins to face No. 8 Colorado State tomorrow at Moby Arena at 7 p.m.
