Getting Started
The San Diego State women's rowing team travels to Boston this weekend for the Head of the Charles Regatta. The event is one of the world's largest Fall regattas with hundreds of teams competing Saturday and Sunday. The three-mile race course snakes its way through Boston on the Charles River adjacent to the Harvard campus.

The Schedule and Field
The Aztecs are scheduled to take part in the women's championship eights event, the largest and toughest women's event in the regatta on Sunday at 3:45 p.m. In addition to the Aztecs, the event inlcudes teams from top-ten collegiate programs such as two-time NCAA national champion Brown and last year's event winner Princeton along with Michigan, Southern California, Ohio State, Boston, Virginia and and national teams from the U.S., The Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany.

Quoting Head Coach Scott Steckel
"This race will be a good early season indicator of how we stack up against the country's top teams," said fourth-year SDSU head coach Scott Steckel. "But even more, it's a great spectacle and a great way for our team to get excited about the upcoming rowing season."
