SDSU Men's Soccer Loses to Air Force

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's soccer team moved to 1-1-0 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play Sunday with a 1-0 loss to Air Force at the SDSU Sports Deck.

The lone score of the match came by Air Force senior Armando Ruiz at the 73:56 mark. Ruiz found the net from 12 yards out after dribbling through traffic at the top of the box.

Play throughout the match was fairly even with Air Force (9-2, 2-0 MPSF) taking 15 shots to SDSU's 12. Both teams also took five corner kicks.

SDSU (5-6-1, 1-1 MPSF) goalkeeper Tim Edwards spent all 90 minutes in the net recording five saves and the loss. Mike Brophy defended the Academy's net all match as well and was credited with six saves.

SDSU continues league play next weekend with matches at San Jose State on Friday and at Fresno State on Sunday.
