Aztecs Crush Indians, 3-0

NEW ORLEANS - The San Diego State women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to four games after sweeping Louisiana-Monroe, 3-0, in the first day of play at the Kathy Trosclair Tournament in New Orleans.

In a team effort, the Aztecs took the match with scores of 30-4, 30-11, 30-15. Junior Christy Pfrenzinger was error free with 10 kills for a .667 hitting percentage. Utah State transfer Rochelle Currier saw her first action for SDSU with seven kills and no errors for a .583 hitting percentage.

All 12 girls on the travel team had the opportunity to play in the match against the Indians combining for a .420 hitting percentage versus Monroe's -.167. The Aztecs tallied 41 kills, 37 digs and 20 aces on the night.

The Aztecs will face off against the Mustangs of SMU at 10 a.m. and finish with tournament-host Tulane at 8 p.m.
