SEATTLE - The varsity four squad of the San Diego State women's rowing team extended its win streak totwo after racing to a first-place finish in Saturday's Windermere Cup on Montlake Cut.
The Aztecs completed the 2,000-meter course in 7:25.83 ahead of the Washington "A" boat thatclocked in at 7:26.65. Washington State (7:28.57) took third-place honors followed by SeattlePacific (7:36.81) and the Washington "B" team (7:37.96).
Today's victory comes on the heels of last weekend's top finish of 7:37.0 at the WIRAchampionships on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
The SDSU rowing program will be in Sacramento next weekend for the Pacific Coast Rowingchampionships on Saturday and the Pacific-10 championships day later.
