Women's Golf 18th After Second Round Of NCAA Regional Championships

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The San Diego State women's golf team is in 18th place with a 626 after the second round of the NCAA East Regional in Chapel Hill, N.C., at the par 72, 6-211-yard Finley Golf Course.

After shooting a 316 in the second round, the Aztecs are one stroke behind Campbell (625) and two strokes ahead of North Carolina (628). No. 1 Duke continues to lead the field with a 577, seven ahead of No. 5 Auburn (584). The top eight teams and top two individuals advance to the NCAA Championships May 23-26 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howie-in-the-Hill, Fla.

SDSU is led by junior Heather Rollo, who is in 45th with a 154 (77-77). Senior Jo Clingan improved to 51st from 65th (after the first round) with a 76 on Friday (155).

The final 18 holes will be played Saturday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. (EST).
