Men's Golf In Fifth At Western Intercollegiate After Second Round

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The No. 21 San Diego State men's golf team is in fifth with a 585 after today's first round of the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo Golf Course.

SDSU was in first after the first round with a 284, but fell to fifth after shooting a 301 in the second round. Oregon leads the field with a 571 (284-287).

Sophomore Lars Johansson leads the competition with a with a 132 (65-67). He is four strokes ahead of Jason Higton of Pacific (136). Brian Miller turned in the Aztecs next best finish with a 145 (68-77) tied for 15th.

The final round will be played Tuesday, beginning with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun.
