ST. GEORGE, Utah - The San Diego State women's golf team finished third of 19 teams at the Utah Dixie Classic at the Sunbrook Golf Course on Tuesday with a 945.
SDSU turned in a three-round total of 945 (305-315-325) finishing tied for eighth with Colorado State. San Francisco won the event with a 918 (297-304-317).
Freshman Shayna Miyajima competed as an individual and turned in the best San Diego State score with a 232 (75-79-78). BYU's Carrie Summerhays and Northern Arizona's Hann-Riikka Kuitunen claimed co-medalist honors, both shooting a 226.
The Aztecs will finish the week at the Peg Barnard California Collegiate, hosted by Stanford, April 14 and 15.
