SAN DIEGO - The No. 62 San Diego State men's tennis team (5-8) defeated Princeton, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at the SDSU Tennis Courts.
San Diego State took the early lead by winning the doubles point, 2-1. The Aztecs advanced at the No. 1 and 2 position.
SDSU went on to win four of the six singles matches. The Aztecs were able to convert on three three-set matches to clinch the victory. Sophomore Oliver Maiberger won his sixth-straight singles match by defeating Kyle Kliegerman of Yale, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Senior Adam Webster defeated Trevor Smith of Yale, 6-4, 2-6, 6-0 at the No. 3 position and Junior Travis Hasson defeated Tim Kofol of Yale, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
The Aztecs are back in action against Nebraska, Sunday, March 25 at 1:30 p.m. at the SDSU Tennis Courts.
