San Diego - The San Diego State women's golf team moved up three places on the final day to finish eighth at the 18-team Pioneer Electronics Bruin Classic played March 12-13. The vent, hosted by UCLA, was held at the Menifee Lakes Country Club in Menifee, Calif.
SDSU completed the 54-hole tourney with a team score of 919 (55 over par). Pepperdine took the team title with a nine over par team score of 873. Among Mountain West Conference teams, the Aztecs finished behind New Mexico (906, 6th) and ahead of Brigham Young (941, 17th)
Pepperdine's Katherine Hull captured the individual title with a three-under-par 213. San Diego State's top individual finisher was senior Heather Rollo who fired a six-over-par 221 to tie for 12th place.
The Aztecs will have a three-week break as they prepare for their next tournament, the Utah Dixie Classic at St. George, Utah, April 9-10.
