LOS ANGELES - The San Diego State women's tennis team lost to 13th-ranked USC, 6-0, Wednesday night at Marks Tennis Stadium.
The Trojans opened play with a sweep of doubles competition. Singles play was then delayed for three hours due to rain. In No. 4 singles, SDSU's Whitney Wells defeated Bernadette Bayani in the opening set, 6-7. Bayani came back to win, 6-2, in the second and, 10-7, in the tiebreaker. The No. 6 match was never played.
SDSU next faces 6th-ranked Cal Friday at 1:30 p.m. in San Diego. All home matches are held on the SDSU Tennis Courts located east of Cox Arena on campus.
