TULSA - The No. 35 San Diego State men's tennis team (2-2) lost to No. 40 Tulsa, 5-2, Sunday morning at the Tulsa Southern Tennis Club.
SDSU's only victories came at the No. 3 and 4 singles position and No. 2 doubles. Junior Travis Hasson defeated Tulsa's Shri Sudhakara, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 3 position and Senior Matt Bere defeated Tulsa's Alejandro Tejerina, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 at the No. 4 position. Bere teamed with sophomore Valentino Pest to win the No. 2 doubles position but it was not enough to win the doubles point.
Junior Travis Hasson is the only Aztec to remain undefeated in singles. Hasson is 4-0 in this year's dual matches.
The Aztecs are back in action Feb. 15-18 at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Seattle.
