POWAY - The Aztec softball squad fell to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the Campbell/Cartier Classic with a 6-0 loss to Sacramento State Friday night at the Sportsplex USA facility in Poway.
The Hornets scored all six runs in the first two innings of play to secure the win. The game started just minutes after San Diego State dropped a tough 2-0 loss to ninth-ranked Fresno State in the tournament opener for SDSU.
The Aztecs managed five hits, including a pair by Tiffany Goudy.
