No. 43 SDSU Falls to No. 3 UCLA In First Round Of The ITA National Team Indoors

SEATTLE - The No. 43 San Diego State men's tennis team (2-5) lost to No. 3 UCLA, 4-0, Thursday afternoon at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships held at the Nordstrom Tennis Center in Seattle.

SDSU was unable to claim a victory before UCLA claimed four to win the match. San Diego State sophomore Oliver Maiberger, sophomore Valentino Pest and senior Shawn Hiatt did not finish before the match was decided.

The Aztecs will play Virginia Commonwealth in the first round of consolation Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the Seattle Tennis Club. This will be a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament round of sixteen. SDSU lost to VCU, 4-3.
