MURRIETA- San Diego State's men's golf teams placed first and second at the Aztec Invitational Tuesday at The SCGA Members' Club in Murrieta.
The SDSU's varsity squad won the tournament with a 846 (281-285-280), 18 under par. The San Diego State B team finished with a score of 870, tying Santa Clara for second place.
Grant Sturgeon of Louisville won the individual title with a 210, six under par. Eight Aztecs finished in the top 12 individually. Sophomore Lars Johansson and senior Ryan Donovan led the team tying for second place. Junior John Lieber and freshman Aaron Choi shared fourth place honors.
