Volleyball Falls At Fourth-Ranked Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The San Diego state women's volleyball team saw its four-match win streak halted in Fort Collins Saturday afternoon, falling to Colorado State in three games (15-7, 15-7, 15-4). The win was the 17th straight for the fourth-ranked Rams who lengthened their current home court win skein to 38 matches.

Colorado State (21-1, 7-0 MWC) was led by Courtney Cox who amassed 19 kills and finished the match with a hitting percentage of .708. CSU's Summer Jennings also hit double figure in kills for the Rams with 10 and hit .368 for the match.

Freshman Aspen McPartland has six kills to lead the Aztecs and hit .333 on the day while teammate Erin Grady led both teams with seven blocks. But San Diego State (10-10, 4-3 MWC) was unable to overcome the offensive strength of Colorado State which finished with a team hitting percentage of .394.

The Aztecs now take a short break from conference play to host William and Mary on Monday, Oct. 16, at 7:00 p.m. in Peterson Gym, then travel to UC Riverside on Tuesday (Oct. 17).
