Volleyball Falls To Oregon State 3-1

PORTLAND, Ore. - San Diego state's two-match winning streak came to an end as they fell to Oregon State three-games to one at the Nike Conference Challenge being contested at Portland State this weekend.

After winning the first game 16-14, the Aztecs dropped three straight to the Beavers by scores of 15-10, 15-9 and 15-7.

For the third match in a row, sophomore Nicole Akporiaye led SDSU in hitting with a .325 percentage and also topped the team with 17 kills. Freshman middle blocker Aspen McPartland contributed 15 kills with Zlatina Anguelova adding an even dozen.

The loss dropped the Aztecs' season record to 2-5 as they prepare for their final match of the tournament against Idaho scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start in Portland.
