Men's Soccer Loses to No. 1 Ranked UCLA

LOS ANGELES - The San Diego State men's soccer team lost 5-0 to No. 1 ranked UCLA Wednesday at Spaulding Field on the UCLA campus. The Aztecs move to 1-1-0 on the season.

The Bruins (3-0-0) got off to a quick start with four of its goals coming in the first half. UCLA senior forward McKinley Tennyson, Jr. earned a hat trick, scoring the team's first three goals of the evening.

All five goals were scored on SDSU sophomore goalkeeper Brian Barnes who carded two saves in 65:14 minutes. Junior goalkeeper Tim Edwards relieved Barnes and was credited with one save.

The Aztecs face fifth-ranked Portland on Saturday and Washington Sunday in the adidas Soccer Tournament in Portland before returning home for matches against St. Mary's on Sept. 15th and Cal Baptist on the 18th.
