Men's Golf Finishes Seventh At Tucker Invite

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The San Diego State men' golf team moved up nine spots in the final round of competition at the William H. Tucker Invitational finishing seventh out of 23 teams. The Aztecs shot 878 (+14) in the three round event.

SDSU was paced by John Lieber who finished eighth at one under par. Brian Miller shot a 217 (+1) good enough for an 11th place finish and John Lepak finished at two over coming in at the number 18 spot.

Fellow Mountain West Conference members Brigham Young (861) and UNLV (863) finishing first and second respectively, with Arizona (865), New Mexico (871), Hawaii (874) and Southeastern Louisiana (874) rounding out the top five.

SDSU returns to action Oct. 1-3 when they compete in the Pacific Invitational in Santa Barbara.
